Family Heritage? What is the best way to trace my family heritage? So far I have my grandparents names. Where do I go from here? There is also a rumor that my family may belong to a group that traveled to the USA on some of the orginal ships. Something by the name of "The Daughters of ...??? No one in the family has any details. There are a lot of websites out there, I don't want to sign up for one that is a scam? Any help is welcome.

How to find out your family heritage, where to start? I'm really interested in finding out my family heritage but I have no idea where to start. Where can I find out my real family heritage? I looked up my last name online and got no results really. The last name is Suez. My family says that we're all italian (I know my mom's side is), but I'm not sure because of the last name. Family tells me we have Lakota (Sioux) in our heritage. How do I find out if this is true or not? I just got a copy of my family tree. There are allot of people listed. Some dateing back to the 1700's. I always been told we have Cherokee,Apache and Lakota in our family's hertage. On my dad's side: I'm still doing research on his side. Important Question About Family Heritage/Family Tree? My father's relatives are a very interesting group. My grandma's is from Czech Republic/ Slovakia (i think) and My grandpa's is from Slovenia/Croatia. Both sides left as little information as possible about their family tree. I wouldn't doubt that my grandma is actually czech. Does anyone know of any European good ancestory check websites. I doubt that any U.S. ancestory base would have any info on them. Also, is there any records that the goverments of these nations may or may not have kept. Just trying to peace things together. Thanks to everyone that has serious answers!!!!
