I am looking for ideas on how to mount a transparancy onto a canvas for a mixed scrapbook media idea?
I painted a piece of canvas and embellished it with a photo and some decorative paper. I want to add a transparency with a copy of the photo onto the canvas but am having trouble coming up with a way to mount it. I would like to have the transparency be raised up off of the canvas and the rest of the work. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

- You could use a hole punch or a needle to make holes in the corners of your transparency, then fasten it to the canvas with metal brads. A little washer or bead can be a spacer. You can find all that stuff in the scrapbooking section of your local craft store. .
- Maybe use some dimensional dots...little pads of something or another with glue on each side. Then you could put something on the corners like a small button or a flower or some other type of appropriate embellishment or charm...to cover the dots. I like to tie a small piece of embroidery floss through the button holes. Use glue dots to place the embellishments.
- I haven't tried this on a transparency yet, but I use spray adhesive for velum and it doesn't show through. I use it very sparingly, and even have to wipe some globs of spray off sometimes, but when I don't want to have embellishments on my velum, that's what I do. you could try it on a scrap piece of transparency. Hope it works for you. Teresa
