What are some unique ideas for a baby scrapbook?
I was wondering if anyone had any unique/cool ideas for a baby scrapbook. I already have some basic ideas, but I was wondering about some more. Thanks!

- in my daughter's scrapbook we have pages about the world on the day she was born. I also have her family tree in it. There are also pages contaning a tooth chart, height and weight calendar starting the day she was born and once a month until she turned one years old. Lots of pictures of people that love her.
- we saved wrapping paper from the baby shower to use in the scrap book ,also the babies hospital bracelet ,let the air out of the mylar balloon and cut the designs to fit the page, birth announcements , of course pictures of everything , also planning to add lock of hair from 1st haircut ,
- Check out our site you may find some great ideas. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Shareyourlayouts/
- Let's go to Joann's!!!!!!!
- If you cut out the letters BABY or his/her name, use the negative to decorate the page.
- I say you should use the gift wrapping paper from the baby shower as backgrounds for pics. All you have to do is iron it flat (really works) and tape any rips from the back. For the title, you might like something like "Baby's name (in big letters) (in smaller letters:) Time of Birth Date of birth Place of Birth" on the cover. Use lighter colors like sky blue, bubble gum, lavender, etc. for the letters and nice ribbon to help the tape hold the pics in place. A lock of hair from baby's first hair cut and baby shower invitation samples.
- I echo the idea on the wrapping paper. For one of my showers for my first, a lady gave me a homemade hooded bath towel wrapped in bathtime wrapping paper. I took the paper and just used if for the page layout and used pics from that shower to decorate. It was very easy... no ironing needed. :) Another thing I really love is preprinted pages. I know you might be thinking - how un-unique is that!! BUT it saves you a ton of time and you can still embellish them to whatever degree you choose. The brand I love is Aimee J Inc. I tend to go way overboard when it comes to the number of pics I want to include resulting in a huge number of pages. The printed pages help to keep things going and focused so I don't lose track of what I wanted to accomplish. :) I'm going to try this idea myself... take a bunch of pics of your baby's eyes, ears, toes, fingers, hairline... etc. memories you want to capture and make them into 1-2 in. squares to form a chunky border on your 12x12 page then put a full baby pic in the main area of the page and embellish as you like. I waited for Michael to fall asleep and tried this. Hint - make sure your flash is off - my pics came out better without it. :) Have fun!!!

- Becca - There is nothing more precious than a legacy of photos to pass down to a child. Make sure that you are protecting those memories with acid free and archival safe materials. I have a couple pre-printed themed pages for babies on my website, check them out! www.doresa.myctmh.com Look for "Snipes & Snails" and "Sugar & Spice" Level 1 kits. Pre-printed pages are so wonderful, it allows you more time to spend on the embellishing (the fun part, right!!!). Becca, I would love to help you with any other scrapbooking needs! Doresa
