  1. um...gun stickers and a page called "the good times " or "home sweet home"
  2. some awesome camo paper would go down nicely... as well if you can get some military theme stickers....
  3. Stipes and Polka Dots!!!
  4. you can make a page proud to be an american with red, white and blue stars and stripes. tell him thank you for serving our country good luck .Im sure he'll love your scrapbook
  5. A visit to your local scrapbook store should give you more ideas than you can use. We have so many new military paper and embellishments, the pages will be easy the decisions on what to buy will be hard.
  6. If he is in Iraq I would suggest keeping the actual book at home, just in case he doesn't have room or the ability to keep it well. It would be great to make the book and scan it and send the copy. You can shrink the pages down on a color copier and make it small enough that he can easily carry it with him. This is something he'll want to keep forever and he'd be devasated if it got lost or ruined. Of course, it completely depends on what type of work he does and what type of living environment he has. I know it varies greatly. Make a page (or pages) of pictures of his family. A page of your family. A page dedicated to just the two of you. If he has a favorite pet a home dedicate a page to the pet. If he's sent you any post cards or special letters or souveniers you might want to consider including a picture of them. If you have cards or post cards from him you might want to shrink them on a copier machine as use them as embelishements. Include pictures of things you are doing while he is away. A picture of your work or school. A picture of places you like to hang out. Movies you've seen or tv shows you're into And make a page or two of things you want to do and places you want to go when he gets home. Maybe pictures of a nice restaurant or brochures for a trip you'd like to take. Take pictures of places he likes to go - include his favorite sports team or bar. Is he in love with his car (my dh is)? Try to get a picture of it and promise it's being taken care of. I hope that at least helps! My husband just left the Navy after 10 years. He's now going to work as a civil servant for the Dept of the Navy. One of my brothers is in Iraq for the 5th time! He's a civilian contractor now but he served in the Army and the Air Force. I know how tough it is for those guys & their families. I think what you are doing is a fantastic idea. I wish I'd be in to scrapbooking when my husband was overseas. We could have added a lot to that book over the years!
