Does anyone know of free research sites to trace a family tree I know of genes reunited and their sister sites

I am not sure what you mean buy buying..I know of alot of sites. I can also help direct or maybe help you find your family. I have a genealogy group with alot of great genealogy helpers:) We can try to help you and it is free. Use freebmd for tracing birth marriages and deaths from 1837 to about 1901 - really good site - then there is freecen for census information - although this site is not so good - is in contant state of updating - but you might find some stuff of use - then there is familysearch.com - excellent for really old stuff.
