I was talking with one of those typical Americans that think that "latino" is race. I tryed to explain to her that "latinos" (aren't they Latin Americans?) come in lots of different races: blacks, whites, indigenous, mixed race... She told me that "latinos" can't be whites... I asked her why and I showed her pictures of "latinos" that could be easily mistaken with Northern Europeans. She said: "they aren't whites, cause they have native and black blood on them". Let alone the fact that some genetical researches (SCIENCE) showed that a certain percentage of Latin American populations is of unmixed whites. I would like to know if white Americans are sure that are 100% white by blood. Have them ever made a DNA test? Are they so stupid to believe that if you go back 300 years in the family tree of all them they'll find no black or indian? Yes, lol, I'm white wanna be... lol. And also those Latin Americans that are grandson of Italian, they're white wanna be too... lol. And in Latin America there is also the blacks wanna-be and the indigenous wanna be... lol. Even the Asian wanna be, like Alberto Fujimori. "latino", lets call it Latin Americans, (because that's how you call us, I don't know why did you came up with the Spanish word "latino" that has a different meaning that you think). Anyway... Latin American is a person that was born in Latin American. Not a race, not an ethnicity, nothing. Simply as that, ok?
