Heritage Album

Does anyone have any ideas for scrapbook pages.?

I need some ideas that are different than the average ones such as birthday and school days. I want something fun to work on. Plus any new sites?

  1. a day at the beach, amusement park, picnic. those should be fun.
  2. I did a chronological one for my mom. Starting at her birth, working up to now. I hit all the high points (my birth, weddings, graduations, etc). It was a mothers day gift. I have a program that I bought (any will do, but it's a great investment) I have tons of ideas on it and it's super easy to use. But now I do those types of scrapbooks for gifts. For example a friend is getting married. I took 10 pictures and started a scrapbook of their life together, she can finish it if she likes, or not it's still nice what I did by itself.
  3. http://www.about.com/scrapbooking
  4. Scrapbook theme "Sunday at Church". Lots of feathers, like in old lady's hats, peppermint wrappers, crosses, no doze...etc.
  5. Right now i'm working on an album called "All About Me, From A-Z". It's a way of scrapping about my life and the people and things I enjoy. Each letter represents a name/title i have (a for auntie, f for fiancee, d for daughter), etc. It's a nice way to capture it all in one album. Wild Asparagus has a line called "All About Me" that you can use for the title page. The hardest part is figuring out what goes with each letter!
  6. The "Idea Center" at the CM website has lots of album ideas, and the ideas are updated monthly.
  7. What about the many faces of.......... or Remember when? I always like pages like that. Also there is a forum called Ruby Butterfly where the ladies are real nice and always have lots of ideas.
  8. For ideas on fun pages...I just came back from CKU Chicago & got A LOT of new ideas...what about scrapping everyday things that you like & appreciate...make a list...like starbucks, trash cans, gum, whatever makes you tick. If it's for children, favorite toy, blanket, the story of how your child got their shoes dirty. Just look at the smaller everyday things and something that makes you smile and laugh...try that! For sites: http://scrapbooking.com. They have a section on how to begin, different techniques to use, and a gallery. For page ideas, you can check out magazines like creating keepsakes & scrapbook answers and look at online galleries. Two Peas in a Pod is a great scrapbook community with a huge gallery of layouts and message boards with all sorts of scrapbook topics. (http://twopeasinabucket.com/) You can go into the gallery and enter keywords for searching too..say you wanted to do a graduation layout, you just type graduation in and then you'd get tons of different graduation layouts.
