What should we do with family heirlooms?

My parents have both passed away. My siblings and I need to figure what to do with a few things. Coin collection: my father was a collector. One of my brothers is a collector, but he is also the one that might pawn the collection if he gets desperate. None of us want the coins, but yet we aren't sure if we should sell them, because they meant so much to my dad. He even made sets for each one of us. Any suggestions?

  1. Well, it depends on how much he bought them for. If he got a silver quarter for $0.25, then it would be a good time to sell- but precious metals are expecting to increase in the coming years. But overall, he wouldn't be happy to see them in up in a shop either. You ask a coin dealer on how to correctly store and keep the coins. It is a good time to buy gold, silver, and platinum though.
