What's the best way to scrapbook newspaper articles without them getting ruined?

I have four years worth of newspaper articles for very succesful basketball and football seasons (much more newspaper articles than your average team...). I'm trying to put them in a scrapbook or memory book for Christmas, but I don't want to ruin the articles or make them look messy. What's the best way to go about doing this? Also, obviously, the quickest & easiest way to get it done, and does anyone have any layout ideas for sports pictures, admissions tickets, rosters, field passes, articles, etc.?

  1. you need to neutralize the news paper so it dosent crumble you can get that from any craft store then id do it on black paper with some sort of glue squares also at craft store in scrapbook area regular glue would make the news paper wrinkle. just be creative you can place tickets next to pics just dont over crowd pages place large news paper articles on there own page maybe put the rosters and tickets toget

  3. I would laminate them. Or scan them and print on good acid free paper.
  4. There is an Archival spray you can put on the newspaper so it won't yellow. Cutting them out with a paper trimmer to help with straight lines and 90degree corners will help them look neat. I did a scrapbook of my son going to the White Sox games over the summer. I matted each article with black then put it on the page.
  5. Try CropMom (http://www.cropmom.com) to make your digital scrapbook layouts or greeting cards online of your newspaper articles. I would scan the articles and upload them to CropMom and then use the CropMom website to create scrapbook layouts. This way you can keep the originals as they were and at the same time have them in digital form. CropMom is easy to use! Just register and upload your photo or photos or scanned images. Then click Get Started to begin making your project. You can choose from several canvas sizes. Drag and drop your photo onto the canvas. You can resize or rotate your photo. Then choose from CropMom's scrapbooking graphics and drag and drop them onto your canvas. You can click Add Text to add your own words to the layout. When you're finished, click Save. Then go to the My CropMom page and click on your layout. From there, you can download the low-resolution JPEG file of your layout for free for use on the Web or to e-mail to friends. You can click Share to send your layout via e-mail directly to a friend. If you want to print your layout, you may purchase the high-resolution, print-quality JPEG file for a small fee. Then you can print it at home or have it printed by a photofinisher.
