When you've traced your family tree back as far as you can.Have you found you're related to somebody famous?
Most of my ancestors appear to have been farm workers.

- I traced mine back as far as Adam and Eve. They're quite famous. My parents are mixed-race (my dad prefers the 100m, and my mum's Pakistani), and I'm the youngest of three (my parents are both older than me)
- I can go back as far as the 800s. One of my ancestors founded a small village in Calabria, but that's about it. Most of my ancestors were stone masons.
- i have gone back a ways and it would seem both sides of family came originally from Ireland. However i am not sure without going there i can get any further back. Because i am not sure geneology sites like Genes Reunited cover Ireland and im not sure which part at any rate. I have some dodgy ancestors i know one i found who was listed as something akin to be a thief, or possible.
- No one famous but my great grandfather was a small town politician.
- All that I found was that I come from a long line of dead people
- yes! I am related to the guy who invented the telegraph! and the lady mary................ the burned for being a witch.
- My dad's friend has found out he's related to Guy Fawkes.
- On my mother's side, I'm related to Martin Luther (founder of Lutheranism, not the civil right's leader), Hans Cristian Andersen (author of stories like the Ugly Duckling and the Little Mermaid), and some Danish philosopher named Grundvig
- I am a descendant of the last witch burnt at the stake in the UK apparently, my aunt done her research. No one famous though... but don't cross me or you're cursed!
- My one family line came to America very early on. It is rumored to have connections to Lord Delaware and the artist Benjamin West. I am not a direct decendant though, Benjamin West would be like a great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great uncle (probably more greats than that!) That is the only line that has anyone of distinction....the rest are farmers, ship builders, some fought in the revolution and the civil war but other than that pretty ordinary.
- my cousin is ben vidaic his not that famous but does play soccer for sydney fc
- i am still left to trace my family tree!!!
- David Livingston's related to me and Lord Birkenhead as well
- No. Mostly pretty ordinary people. None of them managed to get killed in wars, but one or two came back a bit screwed up.
- Yes it turns out my great grandfather was a very famous author who died on ship with his lover from syphilis whilst chasing the dragon. Some things are best left in the closet
- Somewhere along the line I would appear in Elvis' family tree. A friend of mine is the grandaughter of Nye Bevan, founder of the NHS
- i am descended from niall of the nine hostages as is every other o'neill and o'donnell he was at one stage a notorous pirate and high king of ireland so i persume that is famous
- I didn't have to trace far back at all and found out I was related to Lesley Ann Warren.
- On my mom's side, there is a claim that we come from one of the lines of Norwegian kings, but through an illegitimate daughter so I question that one. Also descended from Rev. John Carman, one of the first Europeans to "buy" land from the Native Americans when he bought part of Long Island and established what became the town of Hempstead. Another claim of illegitimate royal descent from the Larue family, supposedly descended from King Francis I of France.
- Yes, an ancestor of mine was standard bearer for William the Conqueror during the battle at Hastings. His name was Rodolphe Gifforde. And Mary, Queen of Scots, was cousin to some of my ancestors in Scotland when she was murdered at the order of Queen Elisabeth 1.
- Ummm... I'm related to Red Hugh O'Donnell, Helena Kennedy and John Macmurray, but that's about it, and one of them is still alive, so I didn't get very far back!
- My grandfather escaped from the police academy just to visit his parents. His face was everywhere; newspaper, notice boards, television, etc. When the academy found out his location, he was given the one & only chance to not be incarcerated in prison and that is to return to the academy ASAP. And yet, he refused. The Singaporeans asked the Bruneians to capture him, but they were afraid to do so since he's from a blue-blooded family. So, he was quite famous in the 50's in Singapore and Brunei. When time flies by, he was forgotten and there it goes. Oh, I'm also related to Mary Lim Bong Su, Miss Singapore in the 20s, if I'm not mistaken.
- My dad found out we was related to Anne Bolyn << Can't spell name My last name is Bowling.. so it makes sense also lol xx
- My family traced ours and they found that way back we came from William the conqueror of all people! Although this is not certain (as always mistakes happen) I think its worth a mention! Blessed be
