Bridesmaids are making a page for scrapbook for the bride...any ideas on what I can do?
As a bridal gift, the bridesmaids are going to organize a scrapbook for the bride. Each bridesmaid will have a page to devote to pictures, sayings, etc. I am NOT a scrapbook person, I don't have many pictures & the ones I have I don't want to give up to put in a scrap book. Does anyone have any creative ideas & what do I do about my limited pictures that I don't want to lose?

- go to walgreens and make copies of your pictures first off. What supplies do you have to work with? I love scrapbooking, have so many ideas, we are actually doing the same thing at my sis' baby shower this weekend. All the guests are making her a page. It's fun. Have any of the other girls supplied you with materials or do you have to go buy them yourself? If you have to buy them I suggest getting your paper, make sure you get the right size for the book they are putting together. Grab some foam sheets if you want to make the Photo stand out from the page a little bit. Matching colors with your paper. any cute stickers, ribbons, button, paper cutouts, die cuts, paper punches, etc that you find and want to use. Make sure everything is for scrapbooking so that it doesn't contain any acids or chemicals that will turn yellow over time. That goes for glue and everything. You guys should have a little party that way you can have input given to you as you put your page together. You can make envelopes and pouches out of paper too so that you could write her a little note and put it in there. There's all kinds of stuff you can do. email me if you have any questions
- Why not make a collage scrapbook? I use PhotoMix software to create mycollages which makes things go smoother and is easy to make the pages more elegant or crazy. The best thing is you don't have to give up your photos. For ideas as to what to put in the book. Well pictures of course any that you want to put in. If you use the software you will just have to scan and print your pages. Also, feel free to add extras to the scrapbook. Things like reciepts or tickets of events you and the bride did together, or anything that would be special to the bride, anything that has to do with the wedding, friends, family, the skys the limit on this one. All it takes is a great imagination.
- Choose several photos that really capture your relationship with the bride, and make copies. Then journal about your friendship, what she means to you, and your hopes for her future. You can add a few stickers or simple bows made from ribbons if you wish, but the journaling is the most important part of a scrapbook page (other than the photos). She'll remember what you wrote long after the stickers and such that you used. Remember to use your own handwriting, and have fun!
