Heritage Album

I'm looking for a good Genealogy site that might be free/cheap..?

I've got an extensive family history that no one else has bothered to take the time to evaluate. Recently I ran into an individual with the same last name as mine, and he said he traced his heritage back to 1570A.D., but I can't remember for the life of me what the web-site name was. He did say that it was free though. Anyone got a clue?!!

2. go to the church of latter day saints www.familysearch.com/ it is free and very good but results must be checked on official/original information ie Parish Registers of the UK for them to be verified
3. Might be RWWC. The ones below are the biggest.
4. www.rootsweb.com is the free portion of ancestry.com and can get you started.
5. One of the best is http://www.familysearch.org and you can try a free trial of http://www.ancestry.com or www.ancestry.co.uk to see whether you want to purse it further. Hope that helps
