My nephew is 28 and addicted to oxycontin, his mother and I have been talking. Because of his addiction he is now in trouble with the law as well, stealing to get money to pay for his pills. I came up with the idea of getting the closest members of the family and friends to do an intervention. He needs to get help, he's either going to end up in jail for a long time or dead. His mother thinks it's a great idea. I've already left a message for Canada Rehab Centre. I'm just wondering if you've ever done one or had one done to you? Is it a good or bad idea? And advice would be appreciated. We want to see him clean and straight, it's so sad what drugs can do to you. Just for the record yesterday was the anniversary of his father's passing 13 years ago. It hit him real hard when it happened and it still bothers him alot. We just care about him and love him and want to get him help. What do you think of the idea of an intervention? He says he wants help but never takes the first step to get it.
