Photo board layout ideas or simple scrapbook layouts that could be done on giant poster boards?

I am making photo boards for my sisters birthday party, and would like some ideas on cute ways to make the boards look nice. I will be using fairly large photo boards so some of these scrapbook ideas I see online won't work for these boards. She is turning 31 so I would like it to look clean, modern but still fun. Anyone have any ideas or websites that could help me?

1. I think you should re-ask your question on the Y!A "Hobbies & Crafts" ideas, I bet you would get a lot more helpful answers that way. It's 5 points to ask again, but worth it cuz you will get answers. =)
2. Well, you could create a digital layout using your photos at CropMom (http://www.cropmom.com) then purchase the high-resolution, print-quality JPEG file of your layout (it costs under $2.) Then you could take the JPEG file and have it printed by a photofinisher in poster size.
