Anyone know of a FREE professional digital/virtual scrapbook software?

Please respond only if you have used the software and what you liked/disliked. I can do a google search too - but i'm looking for honest consumer testimonials. Software can be solely online for web sharing of downloaded for personal use (I'd prefer the second kind, but I can settle for the first) I'm interested in programs with many layout/border embellishment options (if it's completely customizable that would be great!) and look more professional/unique than creating a scrapbook project with powerpoint. I've just tried to download and install ScrapbookFlair and i can't seem to finish the installation, - I think it's because the system requirements aren't compatible with Windows Vista (which I have)

  1. iphoto or lightroom or aperture would probably do what you need it to. iphoto and aperture can be downloaded free (aperture is free for only 30 days) at apple.com lightroom is a trial for 30 program as well at adobe.com
  2. Try making your digital scrapbook pages at CropMom. http://www.cropmom.com It's easy to use and has lots of digital scrapbook graphics that you can use in your layouts. You can also add your own text. If you want software that you can download, try GIMP. It's free and it's on par with Adobe Photoshop. Be forwarned: you'll have to spend some time learning how to use it because it's not easy. Once you have figured out how to use it, you can go find some digital scrapbook kits (free or ones you pay for) at any of the hundreds of digital scrapbook stores on the Web. The higher-end software is going to cost money. That includes Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Photoshop Elements and Corel Paint Shop Pro.
