family heirlooms who to pass them to?
i have a few very old heirlooms. my family is large. they belonged to my dad. should i give them to the oldest grandson or my son who will not carry on my dads name? i am terribly confused about honoring my dads heritage or my sons right to them. any suggestions?

- They will sell them on ebay anyway, so you may as well auction them off. We all can use the money to keep our homes. <}:-})
- You should give them to whomever would treasure them the most. I don't think there's any rule that dictates exactly who gets what. Most of the time, heirlooms are given to people that the heirloom suits best and whoever can appreciate them.
- first off i am 29. so take that into consideration. but i do know some things. when it comes to giving gifts i always give the best to the person i love/respect/care for the most. i suppose many people think like i do, so why would that change things just because you are writing a will? and i think honoring your father would be thinking similarly. i am certain that he would prefer to see his most valued items in good hands regardless of however you may be related (i know i would). do whatever you see fit. the best yet worse part about it is that you wont be around to hear any quarreling.
