What is the best family tree builder software available for free download?

My dad has given me the tedious task of creating our family tree and it's absolutely driving me crazy! I need a software that can help me through this endeavor. Any suggestions would be truly appreciated. :D

2. ok i think most computers have MS office, you can use the WORD to write names and use arrows and stuff like that i think word is the simplest for doing those stuff.
