Heritage, and facial structure?
I was told I'm mainly Norwegian and English. I have a mix of other things too, I'm not sure what. Can anybody identify some prominent facial features that suggest heritage? Preferably detailed. I've searched Google, and haven't had any results. Two photos included. Natural hair color is a little lighter then the blond in the second photo. http://s150.photobucket.com/albums/s94/egfdancer072/?action=view¤t=l_43b9e9a0f56c4b6e8b962b63dc258327.jpg&t=1252988770129 http://s150.photobucket.com/albums/s94/egfdancer072/?action=view¤t=l_1121ddce3e7b4d54ac80ca4cf1289989.jpg Other photos are available in the same album on photobucket. Feel free to use them as reference. Great grandparents from Norway on mothers side. Grandmother is Norwegian and English, from the Bevil family, which goes a long ways back. Grandfather had some sort of Asian? Father is some Native American, though i don't know much about him. We don't talk.

- Your appearance is not usually a good indicator of your heritage and as genealogist we recommend that you do the research on your ancestors to find your heritage.
- Unfortunately, it is very difficult to look at a person today (in a world where there is not much ethnic isolation anymore) and give a strong opinion. From your pictures you could resemble a lot of ethnicities. I would study some anthropological texts that focus on teeth (the shape of the front teeth are a big sign of genetic character) and fingernails first before looking at the obvious signs (like hair and eyes).... also anthropoligical texts (which you should be able to find in any library) that stress bone structure that mainly stresses the body as opposed to the shape of the face. Sorry, if its a bad answer but its really tricky to just guess with something like this. Just a tip: you mention that you think your father was American Indian so look at your front teeth --if they are shovel shaped then you can bet that you have some form of American Indian in you... that is a dominant gene trait that is mostly exclusive to indigenous Americans and almost always carries on in its descendents.
- You do look like you are european and it is mostly likely you are Answer mine please thank you http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aqe7QkEJXe.AAIEkz4qZpensy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20090914212423AAe6nSu
- The others are right; it's really impossible to tell where someone's ancestors came from just by looking at them, because there aren't many features that are unique to one specific area. For instance, you'll find people with high cheekbones in Norway, Italy, Morocco, South America... all over. Likewise, if you visit Norway, you'll find people with blonde hair, dark hair, small eyes, large eyes, etc. Their specific features may have been inherited from an ancestor who lived dozens of generations ago. If you're really interested in learning where your all your ancestors came from, it's certainly possible to find out with a little research. That can take some time and work, but it's a lot of fun and always very interesting. There are lots of knowledgeable folks here who will be happy to help you, so if you have any questions about where to start, just ask!
