Heirlooms stolen by Major Airline Security - what can I do?

My priceless heirlooms stolen during transit through Los Angeles Airport - any Lawyers or Law Enforcement personnel out there who can advice me on the best way to handle this problem will be rewarded greatly. Major US Airline Security personnel involved.

1. sue them for damages.
2. the only thing you can do is hire a lawyer and file a lawsuit/damages claim. This kind of thing can be very difficult to prove.
3. File a complain with the airline security office usually located at the baggage claims. Give specific details of your lost items as well as your flight information like flight number and time traveled. The airline do keep track of the complains and their employees work during that time frame. They will investigate on those employees who work during that time frame if they have properable cause. Check in with the airline from time to time so they know you are serious. Sorry these things happened often. I hope your story end on a happy note.
