  1. Check out scrapbook.com for alot of great ideas. Visit their gallery. Thousands of layouts! Also pagemaps.com. Check their pdf archives. Also a great site for supplies really reasonable is scrapbuck.com.
  2. If you have a chain craft store like Hobbie Lobbie then check there first, they are usually a bit cheaper than a small locally owned craft store. Walmart also has some stuff but not a whole large isle to just scrap book paper like a craftstore would. You can also buy kits starting at around $20, they come with everything you need to get started including the book! (Good bargin.) Another cheap trick is to use wrapping paper! Especially if its from a birthday or holiday, or you see some in the store that you love! If its too flimsy you can glue it to a piece of plane scrap book paper or card stock!
  3. OH my goodness....you will love this! Go to www.mycmsite.com/marycluley then "Project Center" then "traditional scrapbooking" then "Graduation ideas." There are a lot of ideas there! It is Creative Memories. While you are there check out the "clearance" section of products and there are the Jewel Achievements Kit on sale for half price. In addition, in clearance, there are the High school and Elementary School paper packs on sale for half price! Then, go to www.dennydavis.net and then "index" then "G" for graduation and you will find more ideas for titles and poems. I hope I have helped you in some way! Good for you for doing this for your brother! He is lucky to have you.
  4. Try using song lyrics in your next layout. Song lyrics can be a great source of title and page inspiration for a scrapper. Music and songs play an important part in our lives. Hearing a song again can evoke a lot of emotion, bringing back fond memories of special times, special people and special places. Of course, different songs mean different things to different people - but you can use songs to 'tap' into those memories to create unique, and highly personal scrapbook pages. 5. I think making a scrapbook for your brother's graduation is a really thoughtful idea. It's definitely a gift he is sure to cherish now but also down the roads, years from now, looking back at the memories. I'm sure you are able to get your hands on some of his graduation portraits; those with him in his cap and gown. Do you have pictures with him and his friends? You can dedicate a page to memories shared with friends. You can include those caption bubbles like these, http://www.memoryscrapbooks.com/scb6.html that are a lot of fun. You can write in funny quotes and maybe saying that say often. Was he active in sports, theater, volunteer work or school clubs? Any ticket stubs, projects, awards, ribbons he has won would give the book some depth. I hope I've given you a good start on your brother's book. I'm sure it will turn out to be awesome!
