My uncle stole all my grandmas heirlooms and sold them to a museum how do I go about getting them back?
He was suppose to protect her and he gave away and sold everything and the family never knew. He gave his daughter a 200 year old purse made by her grandmother to his daughter . He forged a will winessed by his wifes cousin and sold everything. We do not care of that but we want her heirlooms. Who can help us get the culture her generation fought to keep?

- Report to the local Police and they are going to get it back. No body can buy stolen property.
- Write letters to the museums. If they are reputable, they will follow up. Hire a lawyer who specializes in these matters. Be persistent, if this is important to you. If you are not willing to fight this, and be persistent, then you need to make peace with it and try to let it go. it is not right, fair, or legal, but a resolution will take a lot of time. if you cannot do it, then you have to move on, or it will consume you and you will be bitter and unhappy.
- You have to get a lawyer to prove all the signatures are false. Then you need an inventory of what was sold and to whom. This is going to take time and money. Good luck to you.
