  1. Drinks you could have fruity alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks you could get the mixes for walmarts w/e in the frozen juice section and get umbrellas for them (they are extremely cheap). I would do bright colored flowers for sure maybe tulips or stargazer lillies. IDK but for sure color! Or you could go totally traditional and do the red roses. If you are doing wine you could get really cheap lais to put around the bottom of the glass. You could have tiki lamps lit.
  2. Here are some non-alcoholic drink ideas that seem tropical-ish: Melon-Mint Water Cut a small, clean, unwaxed cucumber into slices. Place slices, a few wedges of peeled honeydew melon, and a handful of mint leaves in a large pitcher. Fill pitcher with water. Cover and chill up to 3 days. Strain water, reserving melon and cucumbers to nibble on. 8 servings. Fizzy Iced Tea Steep 4 green tea bags in 2 cups of boiling water according to package directions. Discard tea bags. Stir in a 12-ounce can of frozen juice concentrate (such as cranberry-raspberry or apple-cherry). Cover and chill. To serve, fill a glass of ice one-quarter full with the tea mixture. Top off with chilled club soda. Add fresh berries. Makes 6-8 servings. I got these from Better Homes and Gardens a few years ago. They sound delish, but I forgot I had them until you asked this question, so I actually haven't tried them. If you wanted to go alcoholic, you could always do pina coladas, daiquiris, margaritas... Addition: Oh, I just had an idea about a decoration...tiki lights! Okay, not the gawdy ones...here's something like I was thinking of on amazon.com. My friend, who is quite creative made lights kinda like this herself with sushi mats over a string of Christmas lights (don't know exactly how she did it)... Could make larger ones for centerpieces with candles???? http://www.amazon.com/Bamboo-Tiki-String-Lights-Dark/dp/B000FCE9M8
  3. for center pieces youcan float flowers in bowls of water. Or keep it simple with scattering flower blossoms and petals and votive candels. Hanging lanterns are nice too.
