free family tree program?

i am trying to make a family tree on the computer but all the programs that i have found are ones that you have to pay for. does anyone know any sites or can give me any links that will allow me to download a good and FREE family tree program. thanks

2. Did you try familytree.com? sometimes they have little things promotions and let new users try it for free with limited usage
3. I use PhpGedView, that works only on a webserver with PHP enabled and is quite complicate to use. It's free, it is for multiuser: the admin can prove read all changes from normal users. http://www.phpgedview.net/
